Fulham manager Martin Jol admitted he was satisfied after his team claimed a 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
The Gunners had won five successive games prior to the match at the Emirates, but the Cottagers showed plenty of resilience to hold their London neighbours to a point.
Gunners defender Thomas Vermaelen went from villain to hero as he turned the ball into the own net to gift the visitors the lead and, just as Fulham looked on course to record their first ever victory on Arsenal turf, the Belgium international nodded home from close range with eight minutes remaining to salvage a draw.
"I think the last 10 to 15 minutes were difficult but before that we tried to play our football," the Dutchman said.
"They're a good team are Arsenal and we thought they might be tired after (their Champions League game on) Wednesday.
"We ended up with a draw. We would have loved a win but I would have settled for a draw before the game and I will settle for that now.
"Sometimes we made it difficult for ourselves but we did well so I'm pleased.
"We'll get on with it and I think the points will come."
