Marcus Hahnemann still wants to stay

Goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann has stated that he wants to stay with Fulham and see out the remaining year of his contract.

The American has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at the newly-promoted Premiership club, with only a handful of appearances to his credit.

However, the former Colorado Rapids stopper is happy with life at Craven Cottage, and would like to stay and fight for his place.

Despite Maik Taylor being the established number one choice at the club, Hahnemann said: "I mean everything is going really good, we had a great year. I didn't have as big a part as I wanted to. I think I played four games. It was still a good time.

"The guys on the team are great. I'm playing games all the time with the reserve team, so I'm getting games but it's not the same. Everything, besides for me not playing, was unbelievable.

"It was a dream season. You know we're going to the Premier League which is what I always wanted to do. It's just a dream, basically. I have another year on my contract so it's going to be a good year hopefully.

He added: "We'll see if I stay or go somewhere else, you never know. You never know what they want to do."
