Man Utd (0) 2 Fulham (1) 2
Fulham striker Darren Bent struck a last-gasp equaliser for Fulham as Rene Meulensteen enjoyed a happy return to Old Trafford.
The former England international came off the bench to nod home to grab a much-needed point for the Cottagers in their bid to beat the drop.
United tried to make the early headway and enjoyed the majority of possession but were unable to test Maarten Stekelenburg.
But Fulham took the lead against the run of play after 19 minutes. A swift counter-attack saw Lewis Holtby clip a majestic ball over the top, which enabled Steve Sidwell to surge clear of Juan Mata and Darren Fletcher before cushioning a sumptuous volley past a static David De Gea.
United had an immediate chance to level proceedings, but Robin van Persie shanked a Rafael cross high into the stands with the goal at his mercy.
Stekelenburg then made a stunning double save six minutes before the interval, when he flung himself to the right to palm away a Michael Carrick volley before recovering to keep out Nemanja Vidic's header.
David Moyes continued to prowl the touchline as United tried to force through an equaliser.
And it finally arrived 12 minutes from time when Robin van Persie slammed home a loose ball in the penalty area after Juan Mata's cross was blocked.
The Old Trafford faithful were in raptures when Carrick's piledriver from the edge of the area took a deflection off Scott Parker.
But there was a final sting in the tale as Bent saved the day deep into stoppage time.
