Fulham manager Felix Magath has insisted that the likes of Dan Burn will be given the chance to shine in the Championship as the Whites prepare to face Wolves.

The tall central defender has not been a feature of the German's side in recent months, despite impressing under former boss Rene Meulensteen.

But Magath insisted that the Burn, and others, will get their chance in the coming weeks.

"I have told the players I will give everybody a chance to play," he said

"Everybody can't play the first games so we'll have changes in the first games and it depends how we play and the result.

"If he has a good game and we get a good result, we will not change so much. If we have no result like today we have to change for Wednesday."

Magath is not overly thrilled at the prospect of facing newly promoted Wolves so early in the season.

He explained: "If you have a promoted team in the first weeks, you always have problems because the promoted team have a very good spirit and very confident because they have won a lot of games in the past.

"I don't like to play against promoted teams in the first weeks. I prefer to play them in the last weeks of the season."

After successive defeats to Ipswich and Millwall, the German knows that his side must start winning sooner rather than later.

"There's always more pressure if you lose a game instead of winning," he said. "We need the points now and we have to get three points against Wolves. We have to play well, score and win."

Adam Taggart will miss the game through injury.
