Southampton had hoped to take their onloan Portuguese striker back to The
Dell after his blistering season at Craven Cottage, with his goals helping
Fulham to the Division One title.
But when Jean Tigana took the 23-year-old former Arsenal man on loan for
the season he inserted a clause in the deal which allowed Fulham the option
to buy him from Saints for £2m.
Now Tigana will sit down with the striker at the end of the season and try
to sort out personal terms.
