Referee Tim Robinson, a 33 years old ex-PE teacher, was appointed to the EFL referees list for the start of the 2012/13 season, after qualifying as a referee 16 years ago. Ref Robinson has now been selected as one of the Referee Select Group 2 who will be employed on a full time basis.
The last time Mr Robinson bossed a Fulham game was at our 2-1 home win over Hull City in September and he kept his cards in his pocket despite a total of 23 fouls, 15 of them by Hull City players.
Last season Ref Robinson bossed four Fulham games which resulted in three away wins and a 1-1 home draw with Burton Albion! He
In the 1-1 draw at home with Burton Albion, his inability to stop Burton time wasting was not appreciated by the home crowd. He booked six player, two from Fulham, Ragnar Sigurdsson for dissent and Jozabed for arguing.
Burton last had the "pleasure" of Mr Robinson back in August when they were beaten 2-0 at Middlesbrough. Ref Robinson booked two Burton players and sent off a third in the 78th minute. The player, Akpan, had only been on the pitch for 13 minutes and got a straight red for a dangerous challenge.
Last season Ref Robinson reffed 44 games dishing out 185 yellows, an above average 4.2 cards a game, and a well above average 9 reds.
So far this season he has reffed 29 games showing the yellow card 93 times, an average of 3.2 cards per game, and again a well above average 9 red cards.
His busiest game this season so far is Sheff Utd v Barnsleye when he yellow carded 3 players from each side and also sent off two players, one from each side.
