Louis Saha is determined
to show Newcastle what they missed out on when they visit Craven Cottage
this weekend.
The French striker spent several months on loan at Newcastle from Metz in
1999, but he only scored twice in 11 appearances. Newcastle decided not
to sign Saha at the end of that season, but since joining Fulham he has
proved his worth in English football.

Saha is one of three former Newcastle players at the west London club and
along with Lee Clark and Alain Goma, he can't wait for the match.
He said: "Newcastle have top quality players and it is a special
game for some of our players. I was enjoying my time there and I regretted
not being able to stay.
"They are one of the best supported clubs in England and are going
well at the moment, so it will be a very passionate match.
"But I have nothing to prove to Newcastle. The most important thing
is to show my ability with Fulham."
Saha also believes Fulham boss Jean Tigana's decision to arrange a friendly
with French side Sochaux during the international break will pay dividends
against Newcastle.
He added: "Sometimes it is hard to come back to training after three
or four days rest, so maybe it is good for us to play during international
week to keep our confidence.
"If we can get a third win in a row it will be a big boost for our
chances of getting into the UEFA Cup."
"We need to have a good target to keep ourselves motivated, We are
unlucky not to have more points and be higher up the table already."
