Fulham midfielder Larnell Cole was taken by 'surprise' by the standard required in the Scottish Premier League - but Inverness Caledonian Thistle want him back anyway.
The Fulham midfielder's loan north of the border runs out at the end of the month, and Whites look set to extend it until May.
Assistant Caley boss Brian Rice ran the rule over the player Whites acquired from Old Trafford alongside Ryan Tunnicliffe in January, 2014.
"Coley has done great for us," he said.
"He took a while to settle and was maybe a bit surprised by the standard that's demanded in Scotland but he gives us something a bit different.
"He got caught up a wee bit in the derby atmosphere against Ross County (a 3-2 defeat on New Year's Eve) but his performances at Ibrox, against St Johnstone and others have been very good."
The 23-year-old has spent exactly 10 minutes in a white shirt since he joined Fulham.
Ironically that was as a second-half sub against Man U in a 2-2 Premier League draw in February 2014, barely two weeks after his move.
Cole was also loaned to MK Dons and Shrewsbury Town before he fetched up at Inverness.
