Referee Kevin Friend started refereeing at the age of 14 in his home county of Leicestershire.
He was promoted to the National List of Referees in 2003, and later to the Select Group of Referees ahead of the 2009-10 season. His first Premier League fixture was in September 2009 in
a 2-1 victory for Wolves over Fulham.
Ref Friend last bossed a Fulham game when we lost 4-0 at home to Newcastle United, in our last game in the Premiership in May 2019. He booked one player, Joe Bryan, for a foul.
Prior to this he refed us in our in the 2-0 home defeat by Man City. He booked two players both from Fulham, Christie (67,f) and Le Marchand (80,f).
In December 2018 Ref Friend was at The Copttage when we beat Huddersfield 1-0, it was the Kamara penalty game. He booked three Fulham players, Seri (25,f), Odoi (44,f) and Christie (64,f), and one Huddersfield player.
Prior to this game Mr Friend last bossed a Fulham game in October 2018 when Fulham lost 4-2 at Cardiff in a Premiership game. He booked six players, three from each side. The Fulham players were Chambers (19,f), McDonald (36,f) and Johansen (45+3,f).
Before the Cardiff game he refed Fulham in August of 2018 when we beat Exeter 2-0 in the League Cup, both scored by Kamara. He booked three players all Exeter players.
Man City United last had the pleasure of Mr Friend's company in September 2019 when they lost 3-2 away at Norwich. Mr Friend booked one Man City player and three Norwich players.
Last season he refed 39 games, dished out 131 yellows, so an average of 3.4 yellows per game and a well below average 3 red.
This season so far he has refed 37 games dishing out 127 yellows and three red cards so an increased average of 3.4 yellows per game.
His busiest game in recent times was the Crystal Palace versus Aston Villa game in August 2019 when he booked two Palace players and five Villa players one of which got a second yellow in the 54th minute
