Fulham's latest reverse started late as the result of a road accident on the M6.

Manager Slavisa Jokanovic believes his own side were slow out of the traps in learning the art of defence.

The Whites manager had called for a risky high line to combat a rampaging Wolves - four wins on the bounce and counting - and it backfired just 13 minutes in when the Old Gold were 2-0 up after the delayed kick-off.

Fulham did score a couple themselves, but yet another 'worldy' - the third in the last three games - was their ultimate undoing.

Jokanovic reached for the English word that described the first two Wolves goals, and the Serb came up with 'strange' - and a referee who earned no thanks from the Whites management.

The gaffer said: "We tried to keep the ball and create chances and took big risks, but they were strange goals and the referee made a mistake in my opinion - and then they score from 35-yards."

With only one win in 13, Jokanovic has called on his troops to be both 'brave and smart' when it comes to facing Huddersfield on Saturday.

"Not only brave and smart but to also play with more confidence," he said. "We analyse the three (Wolves) goals, and it's difficult to find a clear explantaion. So we have little choice but to play high even though it's a risk.

"We have been making progress, but we don't take enough enough steps today."
