Fulham Head CoachSlavisa Jokanovic insisted that his side's FA Cup exit at the first time of asking to Sheffield Wednesday was down to woeful finishing.

Jokanovic said ``Our level right now is to play for 70 minutes. In the last 20 minutes of games, we haven't been up to par.

``It's always a disappointment to lose a game. In our own stadium against Sheffield Wednesday, it was a similar situation.

``We must push ourselves in future games because we played good football for more than an hour.

``Before the Dembele header in the second half, we had many chances and we missed many chances.

``We need to play with more confidence, we need to recuperate our personality as well as our physical condition.

``They scored a fantastic goal and this is part of football - but we need to try and change our own situation.''

Wednesday took the lead in spectacular fashion three minutes before half-time through Scotland international midfielder Barry Bannan, who struck a dipping 20-yard half-volley in off the bar after a neat lay-off from Lucas Joao.

Fulham equalised soon after when substitute Moussa Dembele tapped in from close range after Wednesday's Liam Palmer cleared a Ross McCormack shot off the line.

However, Wednesday got their winner against the run of play in the 73rd minute through substitute Atdhe Nuhiu, who volleyed in from the edge of the area.

Fulham duo McCormack and Dembele threatened in the second half and only a reaction save from Joe Wildsmith prevented Dembele heading in his and the Cottagers' second goal - before midfielder Alexander Kacaniklic spurned a glorious chance from close range on the hour.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal was pleased to see his team reach the FA Cup fourth round with a 2-1 home victory over Fulham.

He said``It was a typical Cup game. We knew we had to decide it in 90 minutes, we were aware of taking more risks in the last 20 minutes and we had to treat the game like a final.

``The strategy today was to give Fulham the ball. They are a team who like to play and we knew we could play on the counter. That's why we put two players up front with pace.

``We are giving a lot of problems to our opponents. We have not just the team to thank for this but the Hillsborough fans. It's very important to have the fans onside.

``We deserve to play the big teams at this stadium, with these fans. But at this moment we do not have a squad to play in two competitions.

``I wish to play with a big team and I hope we get our eight or nine players fit to fight in two directions.''
