Jarred Gillett is a 33 year old Australian referee who has been officiating for 10 years. He has now become the first foreign referee to work in the EFL.

Gillett joined the Select Group 2 in England at the start of the 2019/20 season after taking up a post-doctoral research position at Liverpool John Moores University, where he will specialise in research on children with cerebral palsy.

He was promoted to the Select Group 1 referees list in August 2021 and refed his first Premiership game, between Watford and Newcastle

Ref Gillett last refed Fulham nearly a year ago in May 2025 when we beat Brentford 3-2 at Gtech Community Stadium in a Premier League fixture after coming back from being 2-1 down. He booked eight players four from each squad, Fulham players were, Tete (14,f), Smith Rowe (68,f), Andersen (72,f) and Leno (98,tw). Our goalscorers were Raul Jimenez, Tom Cairney and Harry Wilson..

January 2024 when we lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle United in the 4th Round of the FA Cup. He booked one player, a Newcastle player.

In the previous season in April 2023 Mr Gillett refed us when we lost 1-0 at home to West Ham he booked one player from each team, the Fulham man was Carlos Vinicius.

Earlier in that season, 2022/23 Mr Gillett refed Fulham in September 2022, when we won 3-2 away at Nottingham Forest . He booked four Fulham players, Issa Diop, Kenny Tete, Joao Palhinha and Andreas Pereira, and two Forest players. Fulham goal scorers were Tosin Adarabioyo, Joao Palhinha and Harrison Reed.

A couple of weeks before the Forest game, in August 2022, Mr Gillett bossed Fulham when we lost at Arsenal . Aleksandar Mitrovic got the Fulham goal while Joao Palhinha, Antonee Robinson Bobby Decordova-Reid were all yellow carded along with two Arsenal players.

Six months earlier Mr Gillett refed Fulham's 5-1 away win at Swansea City in March 2022 when he sent off a Swansea player in the 42nd minute. Aleksandar Mitrovic, Bobby Decordova-Reid and Neco Williams scored Fulham's goals.

Mr Gillett's previous visit was just two weeks earlier for the 2-1 home win over Peterborough when he booked one player, from Peterborough. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored both Fulham's goals becoming the first player to score 32 goals in a Sky Bet Championship season.

A couple of weeks before the Peterborough game, at the beginning of February, Mr Gillett refed Fulham when we lost away at Man City in the FA Cup. Fabio Carvalho scored our goal and only one player was booked and that was a City player.

Mr Gillett also refed us back in November 2021 in our 7-0 away win at Blackburn . He yellow carded two players and sent off a third in the 30th minute, all from the Blackburn team. Neeskens Kebano scored two, Aleksandar Mitrovic scored one, Harry Wilson scored two and Rodrigo Muniz scored two.

Earlier in the season, 21/22, he bossed our 3-0 home win against Stoke City in August 2021. He only booked one player, Ben Wilmot of Stoke. Harry Wilson, Bobby Decordova-Reid and Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the goals.

Mr Gillett's first ever Fulham game was the 1-0 away win at Birmingham City in November 2019. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the only goal and was one of the five players booked, three from the Birmingham City team with Cyrus Christie being the fifth player booked.

Mr Gillett last refed Brentford a couple of weeks ago when they were beaten 2-0 at home to Brighton. H booked three players, one from Brentford.

Last season, 2024-2025, Mr Gillett refed 24 games and dished out 97 yellows and 1 reds, so an average 4 yellows per game. This season so far he has refed 19 games giving out 71 yellows, so an average of 3.7 yellows per game, and 1 red card.

Mr Gillett's busiest game recently was the Tottenham vrs West Ham game in January 2026 when he booked 8 players, five from the Tottenham squad.
