Fulham midfielder Emerson Hyndman has joined Premier League Bournemouth on a four-year deal for a reported £750,000.

The USA international was unhappy at his lack of game time at Craven Cottage, and had also come to the end of his five-year spell at Fulham came.

As a 20-year-old Hyndman was subject to an undisclosed compensation fee with the London club, but the Bournemouth Daily Echo has it down for three-quarters of a million pounds.

Cherries chief executive Neill Blake said: "We've moved swiftly in the window to secure Emerson’s signature and we are delighted to have finalised the deal to bring such a promising young talent to AFC Bournemouth.

"Emerson is a highly-rated young player and already boasts international experience, so will be a welcome addition to Eddie (Howe) and Jason's squad.

Signed by Fulham from FC Dallas in 2011, Hyndman made his first-team debut in a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich in August 2014.

He went on to make nine appearances in the Championship that season – all of those outings being starts – and also featured twice in the League Cup.

Last season, Dallas-born Hyndman made 16 league appearances, scoring his first goal in English football in a 2-1 win over Cardiff in April.

However, his chances were restricted in a crowded midfield with head coach Slavisa Jokanovic once suggesting the rough-and-tumble of the second tier was not for Hyndman at this stage in his career.
