Rochdale have signed striker Stephen Humphrys from Fulham, on loan, until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has been unable to force his way into the Fulham first team this season and will now seek to continue his footballing education in League One.
Humphrys said: "I want to come in and score goals, get assists and play well.
"The manager was interested in me in the summer, but unfortunately, we couldn't get it done then.
"He's kept his interest in me and I've had a lot of conversations with him and Brian Barry-Murphy, and they convinced me that this is the club to be at, at the minute."
During the 2016-17 campaign, Humphrys made three first team appearances for the Cottagers, and also spent four months on loan at Shrewsbury scoring two goals in 14 league matches.
Despite being deep in relegation trouble - with just four wins from 26 League One games - Rochdale are still in the FA Cup, and will entertain Millwall next Tuesday in a fourth round replay.
Fulham FC statement
The Club can confirm that Stephen Humphrys has joined Rochdale on loan for the remainder of the season.
Humphrys made his senior debut for Fulham last season, appearing three times before joining Shrewsbury Town in January, where he went on to score twice.
Rochdale currently sit 23rd in the Sky Bet League One standings, and Humphrys could be in line to make his debut in Saturday’s trip to Northampton Town.
