Fulham plucked a point out of the freezing air - and despite a great start - it needed another sterling performance from keeper Andy Lonergan.

He was by the far busier gloveman and did well to make sure his side come back to west London with something.

Whites were gifted the perfect start with a mere 90 seconds on the clock.

You don't want go presenting Ross McCormack with a clear sight on goal.

But that's just what the tangled Terriers did at the back and allowed Whites top scorer to neatly slot home.

Huddersfield hit back when Jamie Paterson bent a great shot to hit the frame and leave away hearts in mouths. And it got worse after McCormack was denied a good shout for a penalty.

Fulham's Achilles heel at dead balls let them down yet again, when Town free-kick was whipped in for former White Mark Hudson to toe it past a helpless Andy Lonergan.

As the case for the last three games, the Whites keeper was a busy man.

He did excellently to deny first Nhaki Wells and then Joe Lolley within the space of a minute as the second period got even colder on a freezing Yorkshire afternoon.

Neither side could produce the killer blow, but at least it stopped the rot of three successive defeats for Slavisa Jokanovic who finally got a result that inched his side still further from the drop zone.
