FULHAM goalkeeper Glyn Thompson will join
up with Second Division Stoke City for a trial spell.
The former England Under-18 shot-stopper recently completed a loan period
with Shrewsbury - the club with whom he began his professional career.
Thompson joined Fulham from The Shrews for £150,000 in October 1999
and he has been touted as a very bright prospect for the future.
Stoke are anxious to provide long-term cover for Gavin Ward following doubts
over the future of Carl Muggleton in the wake of his recent loan spell with
Cardiff City, and the impending return of on-loan keeper Birkir Kristinsson
to Iceland. |
