Ryan Sessegnon’s winner against Aston Villa has been voted Fulham’s Goal of the Month for April.
The strike was trademark Sess, as the left-back got himself into the right place at the right time to lash home the loose ball after Emi Martinez had repelled Saša Lukic’s header.
Speaking to FFCtv after the game, he said: “I would say [it was a] typical Ryan Sessegnon goal, you know? Following up the play, anticipating where the ball’s going to bounce. Happy that I got good contact, kept it low, and thankfully it went in.”
Sessegnon faced strong competition from Leeta Rutherford’s long ranger against London Bees, but he just about edged her out in the vote with 38.8% to her 30.9%.
Jonah Kusi-Asare rounded out the top three, with 17.4% of fans giving him their vote.
