Fulham winger Willian’s stunning effort against Nottingham Forest has been voted as the Premier League’s Budweiser Goal of the Month.

After Forest failed to clear their lines following a free-kick, Willian took the ball down on the 12 yard line in an acute position.

Having feigned to sprint to the byline, the attacker sat a defender down as he cut back onto his weaker left foot before arrowing an unstoppable strike into the far top corner.

Add in the fact that there were eight Forest players – including Champions League winning goalkeeper Keylor Navas – between him and the goal, and the effort was all the more remarkable.

Willian becomes the fourth Fulham player to win this accolade since its inception in 2016, after Jean Michaël Seri, André Schürrle (both versus Burnley) and Ola Aina (against West Bromwich Albion), seeing off competition from Jeffrey Schlupp, Brennan Johnson, Nampalys Mendy, Kevin De Bruyne, Seamus Coleman, Oliver Skipp, and teammate Manor Solomon, to claim the February fan vote.
