Fulham

Fulham Manager Kit Symons Ben Pringle and Jazz Richards will be assessed ahead of Sunday's clash with Blackburn Rovers at the Cottage.

An accidental collision between the pair in training on Friday means Fulham's medical staff will check on them prior to the televised fixture with Rovers.

"Ben and Jazz had a little bit of a collision in training today but hopefully they should both be okay," said Kit Symons. "It was just a coming together, Ben had a loose touch and they banged knees. It looked quite nasty at the time but we're hopeful."

Otherwise, Fulham has no fresh worries on the injury front. Indeed, Scott Parker, George Williams and Luke Garbutt are all edging closer to fitness.

"Scott is joining in training and got 45 minutes in a [behind-closed-doors match] with Crawley we arranged," stated Symons. "He's just had an injection in his ankle. It's a final little push to get him over the line. This will settle it down and then he should be good to go.

"There's an Under-21s game at Motspur Park next Friday [against Blackburn] so if all goes well he'll get some game time in that. It's been great having him back in training and in and around the group. He needs a bit of time to build himself up to match fitness but he's coming on nicely. You can't rush it; he's been out a long time.

"I've been speaking to Garbs and he's doing really well. Our medical team went up to see him and he's progressing well, probably ahead of schedule. We're expecting him to be back in training next week. He'll probably tick a box with Everton on Monday or Tuesday and once he's done that we'll have him down with us. He'll need a bit of game time and then he'll be good to go.

"George will play 30 minutes tomorrow up at Stoke for the Under-21s."

Symons also gave an update on Matt Smith's progress after the striker suffered a knee injury in a clash with Marcus Bettinelli up at Hull City. Bettinelli will be sidelined for some time but the diagnosis is better on Smith.

"He's coming on quite well," said Kit. "He's been going over to Spain for a series of injections in his knee. That's where the specialists are and the best place to go for it. He had the final one yesterday.

"It should speed up the recovery process. He's looking at about three weeks from now to be back in training."

Blackburn

Blackburn Manager Gary Bowyer Blackburn will need to replace Modou Barrow on the substitutes' bench after the winger was recalled to parent club Swansea City.

Danny Guthrie and Bengali-Fode Koita could earn a start after coming off the bench against Bolton last time out.

Blackburn's Hope Akpan has returned to training after an ankle injury and Danny Guthrie is fit again.

Chris Taylor (groin) is still out but Jordan Rhodes should feature after the club managed to keep him at Ewood Park.
