Referee Simon Hooper Wilshire FA official referee Simon Hooper, 33 year old, began his Football League career as an assistant referee in 2006/07. At the same time he was a referee in non-league football. Hooper was promoted to a Football League referee the following season.

Hooper took his first Premiership game at Carrow Road as Norwich City lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace on their return to the Barclays Premier League. Hooper controversially disallowed Cameron Jerome's bicycle kick goal for dangerous play and also turned down a strong penalty claims.

Mr Hooper last reffed a Fulham game in April 2015 when beat us 4-1 at the Cottage.

He last reffed Sheff Wed in a 3-0 away defeat against Wolves. in April 2014

Last season he reffed 40 games and dished out 131 yellows and 4 reds, so 3.3 yellows per game.

Sheff Wed Manager Carlos Carvalhal Sheffield Wednesday will be without suspended midfielder Sam Hutchinson for the home game against Fulham.

Hutchinson received his fifth booking of the season in Tuesday night's goalless draw at Bolton and will sit out a one-game ban so Lewis McGugan is expected to return to the squad after being omitted for the last two matches.

Goalkeeper Kieren Westwood could return to the starting line-up in place of teenager Joe Wildsmith after recovering from a side strain that had sidelined him since mid-August.

There will be a minute's silence before kick-off and both teams will wear black armbands in tribute to former England and Wednesday goalkeeper Ron Springett, who died last week.

Fulham

Fulham Manager Kit Symons Fulham will be without Ryan Fredericks for the game at Hillsborough.

The defender, recently recruited from Bristol City, is unavailable having sustained a hamstring injury while defenders Shaun Hutchinson and Nikolay Bodurov will be assessed.

Striker Matt Smith is nearing a return after his knee problem but Saturday's match comes too soon, and midfielder Scott Parker is still not yet ready for the first-team as he continues his recovery from ankle surgery.

Fulham are looking for a third straight league win after beating Rotherham and Blackburn in their last two outings.
