Fulham v Man City preview

last updated Friday 19th November 2010, 11:16 AM
Fulham welcome moneybags Man City to humble Craven Cottage on Sunday with the pressure on Mark Hughes to get three points. Fulham have drawn eight of their 13 games, the most in the Premier League. Indeed, in his last 24 league games as a manager, at Manchester City and Fulham, Mark Hughes has drawn 16 while winning four and losing four.

He faces his former club for the first time since his departure last season but Roberto Mancini, who replaced the Welshman, has a better record at City.

In 55 Premier League games with City, Hughes won 22, a 40 per cent success rate. In 34 league games, Mancini has won 17, exactly a 50 per cent success rate. Hughes averaged 1.44 points per game while Mancini has 1.76.

City have a good record at Craven Cottage, where they are unbeaten for five years. Since then they have won two and drawn two.

More factoids:
Manchester City have only lost two of their last 13 Premier League away matches.

Manchester City had 22 points from 13 Premier League games under Mark Hughes last season and won their 14th game to make it 25.

Fulham have only ever won one of the eight Premier League home matches against Manchester City.

None of the last seven Premier League meetings between Manchester City and Fulham has seen a home victory.

Emmanuel Adebayor has scored four goals in five Premier League appearances against Fulham.

Danny Murphy has scored three goals in five Premier League games against City for Fulham all between the 75th and 79th minute.

Clint Dempsey has scored three goals in his last two Premier League starts against Manchester City.

In Fulham's last 11 home games, they have had a win, a draw and a loss in three game batches; having won game 10 and drawn game 11 they are due a loss if the run is to continue.

Manchester City are the only team in the Premier League not to have scored a headed goal this season.

62% of the goals Fulham have conceded have been netted in the first half, the highest proportion in the top division.

Stat of the game: City have kept three successive clean sheets and have gone a total of 303 minutes since conceding a goal (at Wolves).

Forecast: Try a goalless draw.
