Fulham are closing in on the signature of Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tom Cairney.
The Lancashire Telegraph reported Fulham's interest in Cairney earlier this week and the Londoners are now close to a deal to sign the 24-year-old after advanced talks with Rovers.
Rovers have been forced to consider offers for Cairney as they look to find their way out of a transfer embargo, imposed after they fell foul of the Football League's Financial Fair Play regulations.
The midfield ace moved to Ewood Park from Hull City two years ago, initially on loan before converting the switch into a permanent deal.
He was player of the season in his first 12 months at the club and won Rovers' goal of the season award in 2014/15, albeit in a campaign when he had less of an impact.
