Mark Hughes is keen to be rejoined with ex-Blackburn star David Bentley in next month's transfer window.
Bentley - who cost Tottenham £16million when he left Ewood Park two years ago - is being chased by Birmingham but Fulham boss Sparky would love to sign his old boy.
Bentley, 26, made 88 appearances under the Welshman and would be keen to play for him again.
However, meeting the winger's wages may be a problem for the west Londoners.
A source close to Bentley said: "David is on around £60,000 a week and it's unlikely Fulham could match that.
"But he had a great relationship with Hughes and is ruling nothing out.
"The only certainty is he will be on his way from White Hart Lane."
