Sheffield Wednesday have rejected an offer from Fulham for winger Chris Brunt.
Fulham made an undisclosed bid for the Northern Ireland international but Owls chief executive Kaven Walker claims it was significantly short of their valuation.
"Everyone has their price, but Fulham's offer is a long way off what we feel he's worth," Walker told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"This offer was discussed with Chris and talks are continuing to keep him at Hillsborough."
Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez signed Northern Ireland defender Aaron Hughes from Aston Villa on Wednesday and has set his sights on a number of other players he managed at international level.
Sanchez has also been on the lookout for a winger in the summer transfer market and may have to consider other options after failing to land Brunt.
Queens Park Rangers chairman Gianni Paladini said last week he had turned down an approach for Lee Cook, who is valued at £3million.
Fulham have also been linked with a move for Reading's Seol Ki-hyeon.
