Fulham vice-captain Tom Cairney has been crowned EFL Player of the Year at the 2017 London Football Awards.
The 26-year-old sees off competition from team-mate Sone Aluko, QPR's Alex Smithies, Barnet striker John Akinde and Scott Hogan, formerly of Brentford but now at Aston Villa.
Cairney's form from midfield has been crucial to Fulham's push for a play-off position this season as they sit five points off the pace with a game in hand on sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
The former Hull City and Blackburn man has supplied seven goals, and added a further nine assists, so far this term, prompting a £20 million price tag to be placed on his head.
Cairney has often worn the Fulham captain armband this season, with first-choice skipper Scott Parker playing a reduced role on the field.
