AFC Wimbledon have signed Fulham striker Terry Ablade on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has scored 19 goals for the Cottagers in total for the under-18 and under-23 teams.

The Finland Under-21 international moved to Fulham from Finnish side FC Jazz in July 2018.

Wimbledon confirmed he would go straight into the squad for Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie away to Boreham Wood.

"He's very quick over 15 to 20 yards, he loves to get in behind people and he's got a real relentlessness about him," head coach Mark Robinson told the club's website.

Fulham FC statement:
The Club is delighted to announce that Under-23s striker Terry Ablade has signed a professional contract. The deal will see the Finnish international remain at Fulham until June 2025.

On top of this, the forward has joined League One side AFC Wimbledon on loan until the end of the season.

Ablade has been emphatic under Steve Wigley so far this season, scoring eight goals in 11 appearances and becoming an integral member of the team.

The 20-year-old was delighted after signing his second pro deal:

"I'm very happy about it because I've been aiming to get to this moment for a while now to be honest. I've been performing well this season in order to help me achieve a new contract so I'm really pleased to extend my stay."

On his upcoming loan deal, Ablade said: "I'm so excited to get stuck in. It's my first loan deal so to be able to play men's football is brilliant. I'm buzzing to get started and I'll make sure I work as hard as I can for the team."

Academy Director Mike Cave continued:"We're all really happy that Terry will be extending his stay here," he told fulhamfc.com. "He's been here for a number of years and has had a good season, so we're delighted that he sees his future here. I'm excited to watch how his career develops at Fulham."

On the striker's loan move to AFC Wimbledon, Mike said: "Going out and playing senior football will give Terry the opportunity to develop further and demonstrate his capabilities at a higher level. Both us and AFC Wimbledon are excited to see him go there and make a real impact from the start."

He's joining a side currently positioned three places and three points above the danger zone and he'll be looking to make an instant impact for Mark Robinson's team.

Everyone at Fulham wishes Terry the very best of luck for the rest of the campaign.
