Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz has been voted as March 2024's EA SPORTS Player of the Month, becoming only the third Fulham player EVER to win the award.

Striker Muniz was the Premier League's joint-highest scorer in March, netting four goals as well as producing an assist.

He scored and set up a goal in a 3-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, struck a brace in a 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, and ended the month with a sensational stoppage-time scissor-kick goal to rescue a point at Sheffield United.

"Without my team-mates, the staff, everyone here, this is impossible," Muniz told Fulham's official website.

"It's special. The last two-and-a-half years were difficult. Now I'm adapted to England. I feel at home here."

The 22-year-old Brazilian becomes the first Fulham player to win the award in over 14 years.

Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was Fulham's last winner, in February 2010, while Louis Saha won it in August 2001.

Muniz topped a seven-man shortlist after the public's votes on the EA SPORTS website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.

Fulham statement - Geoff Pruce
Rodrigo Muniz has been named Premier League Player of the Month for March.

He becomes just the third Fulham player in history to win the award, after Louis Saha in our first ever month in the Premier League (August 2001) and Mark Schwarzer (February 2010).

It’s a deserved accolade after a fantastic purple patch for Muniz, with the striker registering five goal involvements in our four March fixtures.

After a goal and an assist against Brighton, he hit a brace in the 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur, before ending the month with an incredible overhead kick to salvage a late point at Bramall Lane.

Speaking to FFCtv, Muniz said: “Without my teammates, the staff, everybody who works here, this would have been impossible. I have to thank everybody.”

Congratulations to Rodrigo on a fantastic achievement!
