Middlesbrough have agreed a deal to sign Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old started a Boro medical on Thursday as he puts the finishing touches to a loan transfer.
Middlesbrough have been chasing Muniz all summer as they look to bring in a new target man to add to their attacking options.
He has started on the bench for Fulham in their opening two Premier League games and they are happy to loan him out so that he can get regular first-team action.
The Brazilian joined the club 12 months ago and remains under contract at Craven Cottage until 2026.
He scored five in 25 appearances for Fulham in their promotion-winning 2021-22 campaign.
But Muniz played second fiddle to Aleksandar Mitrovic, who netted a Championship record 43 goals.
Muniz is set to become the eighth signing of the window in total for Boro, who face Reading in their third game of the season on Saturday (20 August).
Muniz began his career with Flamengo and has also spent time on loan with fellow Brazilian top flight side Coritiba.
