Fulham midfielder Sasa Lukic has signed for Ipswich Town

The 29-year-old, who made 26 Premier League appearances last season, has signed a contract until 2030.

"I can't wait to play here as a home player," he said.

Lukic is the second player to make the switch from Fulham this summer, joining Morocco defender Issa Diop in the move to the Suffolk club.

Lukic joined Fulham from Torino in January 2023 and made a total of 106 appearances for the Cottagers.

"I have played at Portman Road before in the Premier League and the atmosphere was one of the best I have experienced," Lukic said.

Lukic has won 62 caps for Serbia and represented his country at the 2022 World Cup and 2024 European Championship.

"Sasa is a player who brings real experience to the squad heading into the new season," said manager Gary O'Neil.

"Having played nearly 100 games in the Premier League, he knows what it takes to compete in the division and has been a consistent performer throughout his time at Fulham," O'Neil added.

At Italian club Torino, Lukic made 168 appearances over seven seasons and scored 14 goals.

Fulham FC Statement
The Club can confirm that Saša Lukic has joined Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee, bringing an end to his three-and-a-half-year spell at Craven Cottage.

Lukic said: “It’s never easy to move on, but after four unforgettable seasons, the time has come.

“I want to thank the Club, my teammates, the staff, and especially the fans for all the support, trust and unforgettable memories. It has been an honour to wear this badge and represent this historic club.

“I leave with nothing but gratitude and wish Fulham all the best for the future.

“Thank you for everything. Until next time.”

Tony Khan added: “Since joining in 2023, Saša Lukic has been fantastic professional, always giving his best for the Club when called on.

“He's also a great person, and we all wish him the best in this new chapter at Ipswich Town. Congratulations, Saša, and thank you! Come on Fulham!”

Lukic becomes the second Fulham player to make the switch to Suffolk this summer, following Issa Diop’s move in July.

The Serbia international midfielder joined Fulham from Torino in January 2023 and went on to make 92 Premier League appearances for the Club, establishing himself as a dependable and combative presence in the heart of our midfield.

Over the course of his time at Craven Cottage, Saša always gave 100 per cent every time he wore the shirt, making more than 100 appearances across all competitions, and scoring three goals.

The grit and determination for which Saša became renowned among the Fulham faithful were perhaps best embodied by one of those goals, a brave, contested header away at St. James' Park last season.

Everyone at the Club would like to thank Saša for his contribution and wish him every success at Ipswich and in the future.
