Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah is in talks with the club to cancel his contract, sources have told Football Insider.
Onomah, 25, is in the final six months of his Fulham deal and both parties are ready to agree a termination to allow the midfielder to become a free agent.
The former Spurs man has struggled for minutes at Fulham this season as Marco Silva’s side continues to fly high in the Premier League.
A number of Championship clubs are ready to move for Onomah once he secures his release.
He was also on the radar of Rangers going into this window, with manager Michael Beale a big admirer of the midfielder.
Onomah has made just two appearances for Fulham since their return to the Premier League, with Silva preferring Palhinha and Harrison Reed in Fulham’s usual two midfield roles.
He played 22 times last season for the Cottagers, which included eight Championship starts as the Londoners secured automatic promotion.
Onomah has made 76 appearances for Fulham signing from Tottenham in the summer of 2019.
He has also had spells on loan at Aston Villa, where he was a regular for a full season, and Sheffield Wednesday.
Onomah was on the verge of signing for West Brom on deadline day in the summer but the move collapsed at the eleventh hour.
This was due to paperwork arriving late to the relevant authorities.
Fulham sit seventh in the Premier League after winning nine of their 21 games this season.
The Cottagers are next in action against Chelsea on Friday (3 February).
