Fulham manager Marco Silva knows West Ham United will pose a greater threat on Wednesday than they did last time we met.

A late Raúl Jiménez strike earned us a Christmas victory at London Stadium, but the Hammers have been much improved since the turn of the year, defeating Spurs, Sunderland and Burnley, as well as taking points off in-form Manchester United and Bournemouth.

“I agree with you, they are in a completely different moment,” Silva said in his pre-match press conference. “Of course, they are not a completely different team, but I can see many differences there.

“They signed some players, and they readjusted the squad a little bit last January, but you see the organisation is there.

They have been very difficult to beat, even games that they lost, they played a big part, even last game against Liverpool, you can feel it.

“If you analyse the game, you can see they conceded from three set-pieces in the first half. They were always there, chasing the game, and any moment you can feel that they are creating chances against any side.

“They are in a very good level, in my opinion, right now.

They are going to be a very difficult team to beat, 100 per cent sure, because the organisation is there, their quality is there, they are confident.

“Even if their position in the table is not easy for any team in the world to be, you can feel that the way they play, the combinations are there.

“They have very good individual players, that is not new for them. West Ham is always a club with a lot of individual players that, in any moment, they can decide a game.

“So it will be another great test for us, with a short preparation to prepare the game. But, as you know, we are in a good moment, we want to keep the momentum and use this momentum for our side, and let’s hope we can continue this way.”
