Fulham manager Marco Silva knows the enormity of this weekend’s meeting with Bournemouth.

A 15-match unbeaten run has seen the Cherries jump up to sixth in the Premier League, but a win for Fulham would move us onto 51 points, just one shy of Saturday’s opponents.

When asked about the importance of the fixture, Silva replied: “Big one. Big, big, big one.

“Going to the end [of the season], the games are getting bigger, getting more decisive. And if it’s against a team that is around ourselves, above ourselves in the case of Bournemouth, I think the feeling is that it is even more decisive for us.

“Definitely is a big, big game. I'm not going to say that it is probably the most important of the season, because I don't go in that direction, because if you are going to get a good result, the next one is going to be even more important.

“But this definitely is a big, big one, where we have to reach the standards to be able to do what many, many times this season we have been doing at home. We have been very, very strong – if you look for the home table, the position that we are is a recognition of how strong we have been at home.

“We are going to play against a side in very, very good form. The momentum that they are getting week after week shows and represents their quality as well.

“But we are going to play at home. The Cottage is being a fortress, definitely, for ourselves – great results and great performances, too. And let's go for another one.”
