Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Fulham have agreed a deal to sign Jorge Cuenca.
The 24-year-old defender was not in Marcelino Garcia Toral’s plans for the new season, and although there had been speculation about a possible loan move, it’s now been decided that he will depart on a permanent basis.
Cuenca will travel to London imminently in order to undergo medical tests, having already agreed a five-year contract.
At this stage, it’s unclear how much Villarreal will receive for Cuenca’s sale. It shouldn’t be an insignificant amount.
