Espanyol keeper Carlos Kameni Fulham have lined up a move for 6' 1" Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni in case Arsenal plot a January raid for Mark Schwarzer.

West Ham have also been linked with the 26-year-old Cameroon international, but reports in his Catalonia say Mark Hughes's side are the ones following him most closely.

Kameni has longed been tipped with a move away from the Barcelona-based side and saw a transfer to Wolverhampton fall through in 2003 when failing to secure a work permit.

That would no longer be a concern. The former Le Havre keeper has a £5.1million release clause, which is more than Fulham could expect from Arsenal for Schwarzer.

A coy Kameni said: 'Now I only think about my work, for training and not in other questions. The rumours are rumours, and I do not want extra pressure.

'The papers have praised my performances in the last few matches, but I do not need to demonstrate this as this is my mission each day.'

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is still concerned about his keepers despite some recent good displays from Lukasz Fabianski and a new contract for Wojciech Szczesny.

Fulham resisted bids for Schwarzer in the summer, but the 38-year-old would be keen to make the move.
