Fulham have signed Austrian centre-back David Affengruber, 25, from Elche for a fee in the region of £8.5m.
He has signed a four-year contract, with the club holding an option to extend it by a year.

The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of David Affengruber from Elche for an undisclosed fee.
The pacey centre-back, 25, has signed a four-year deal, tying him to Fulham until the summer of 2030, with a Club option to extend by a further year.
Speaking to FFCtv, Affengruber said: “It is a special day for me and my career. This is a big next step for me, and I am very proud and happy to be here.
“It’s been a long day, but a very special one. You don’t often get an opportunity like this. Now, I’m just happy to be here, and very motivated to get started.”

“He has been impressive in La Liga for Elche and earned a place at the World Cup this past summer with his national team, Austria. We believe that David will be a valuable addition to our squad! Come on Fulham!”
Having come through the academy at Red Bull Salzburg, Affengruber was handed a senior debut with FC Liefering – the club’s reserve side – in the Austrian second division.
Over a two-season spell, he racked up 51 appearances as they secured third and second place finishes, contributing five goals and seven assists in that time.
That led to a handful of senior appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga for Red Bull, before making a permanent transfer to SK Sturm Graz ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
In each of his three seasons in Graz, he helped the club to a second-place finish in the Bundesliga, leading to him sampling UEFA Europa League and Champions League football during his time at the club.
After an impressive 17 goal involvements (10G, 7A) in 126 outings, Affengruber made the move to Spain, helping Elche win promotion to La Liga in his maiden campaign, and then ensuring they remained in the top tier last season.
He departs Elche with two goals and four assists to his name, from his 84 appearances.
Having previously represented his nation at Under-19 and Under-21 level, Affengruber won his first senior cap this year, and was part of the Austria squad that competed at the World Cup.
