Fulham right-back Sascha Riether will return from a three-match suspension for new manager Rene Meulensteen's first game in charge.
Forward Moussa Dembele will be assessed after picking up a minor hamstring problem in the 3-0 defeat at West Ham, which proved to be the final match of Martin Jol's tenure.
Defender Brede Hangeland could be back after a sciatic nerve problem, while striker Dimitar Berbatov is also expected to be fit following illness. Striker Hugo Rodallega (groin) and defender Matthew Briggs continue their rehabilitation.

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is still struggling with a groin problem and is therefore a major doubt for Wednesday's game against Fulham.
Midfielder Christian Eriksen (ankle), defender Danny Rose (toe) and striker Harry Kane (back) are all out.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas has to decide whether to keep faith with floundering forward Roberto Soldado, or recall Jermain Defoe.
