Fulham face the possible departure of Ross McCormack after it emerged the striker has a £12 million buy-out clause in his contract.

McCormack can leave the Championship club for a set figure as part of an agreement written into the new deal he signed in February, with Aston Villa and Norwich considering moves this summer.

The Scotland international scored 23 goals for Fulham this season, effectively saving them from relegation, but it appears increasingly likely he has played his last game for the club.

Signed for £11 million from Leeds in 2014, McCormack was targeted by Middlesbrough in the last transfer window but Fulham rejected a £9 million offer as they feared the drop into League One.

McCormack then signed a new four-year deal in February but is understood to have struck an agreement with the Fulham board that he can leave in the summer, with £12 million the fee required.

Villa are already considering strikers ahead of next season in the Championship while Norwich are also keen to sign a proven forward this summer.
