Fulham Football Club

Fulham defender Brede Hangeland has been ruled out of Saturday's clash with Manchester United.

The Norwegian is suffering from a problem with his sciatic nerve and missed last weekend's trip to Southampton.

Fulham will also be without Hugo Rodallega, who scored twice in the midweek Capital One Cup defeat at Leicester.

Manager Martin Jol confirmed: "Brede is not ready yet. He is better and he will be training with us next week, which is positive.

"Rodallega will be out too. We will make an assessment on him next week. He has a problem with the abductor muscle in his groin."

MANCHESTER UNITED SQUAD

Manchester United's experienced central defensive pair of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand are in contention for Barclays Premier League returns at Fulham this weekend.

Vidic and Ferdinand played together for the first time since United's derby thrashing by Manchester City in September in the midweek Capital One Cup tie against Norwich.

There are no concerns over striker Robin van Persie after a number of niggling injuries in recent weeks but fellow forward Danny Welbeck (knee) again misses out.
