Fulham captain Tom Cairney is set to miss the visit of Exeter in the Carabao Cup.

The midfielder turned his ankle against Burnley on Sunday but should be fit to face Brighton next weekend.

Alfie Mawson could feature for the first time having been building up his fitness since his move from Swansea, but Floyd Ayite and Tim Ream remain sidelined.

Denis Odoi could drop out of the side after making his first appearance of the season at the weekend.

League Two Exeter will be without Jonathan Forte and Dean Moxey. Striker Forte suffered a hamstring injury during the 1-0 defeat at MK Dons on Saturday and faces a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

Defender Moxey was sent off early in the second half and serves a one-match ban.

There could be run-outs for West Brom loanee Dara O'Shea and youngsters Archie Collins and Jack Sparkes, while Jimmy Oates hopes to make his debut.
