Caretaker Manager Kit Symons is hoping that a positive atmosphere around the training ground will work in Fulham's favour as they go in search of their first league win of the season at Birmingham City on Saturday.

The Cottagers secured victory in his second game in charge in Tuesday's Cup meeting with Doncaster Rovers

Symons said "I'm looking for a positive response again from our players on Saturday and a good performance. You're never guaranteed anything in football, but I'm convinced that's what's going to happen, that's what we're going to get, because the squad has prepared very well.

"They've rested up after Tuesday night in the right way, they did the right amount of work on Thursdat. Again, we'll do our prep work on Friday and I'm convinced they'll be flying come Saturday."

Symons should have no new injury concerns ahead of Saturday's trip to the Midlands, stating: "Everyone's looking good at the moment. It's a healthy camp.

Birmingham City and former Fulham star Lee Clark has admitted that Birmingham City's result against Fulham is crucial.

The three points are all that matters to the Blues boss. Recent good performances count for little, said Clark. "Yes, I think it is crucial," commented Clark.

"On Saturday the points are more important than the performance. "We have to win the game, because of the position they are in also.
