Fulham defender Antonee Robinson believes he has a point to prove when Everton make the visit to Fulham..

The Blues will be looking to overturn a poor run of recent form when they travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday lunchtime, following a sequence of three straight defeats in the Premier League before the international break.

However, standing in their way will be a newly-promoted Fulham searching for their first home win in the Premier League this season, and Scott Parker could well call upon a former Everton defender to help his side against Carlo Ancelotti's men.

Robinson joined the Blues academy at the age of 11 and stayed with the club right up until 2019 when he joined Wigan Athletic on a permanent basis following an impressive loan spell.

This summer saw the USA international complete a switch to Fulham and, speaking to the club's official website, he discussed the visit of Everton this weekend.

When asked if it will be strange coming up against his former club, Robinson admitted: "Yeah definitely.

"If I'm involved I'll be looking forward to it, you're always going to be fired up for the games against a club you used to play for.

"I'm looking to go and prove a point, that was a team I wanted to come through and play for when I was growing up.

"Obviously I'm going to want to be playing my best when we play them.

"I'm expecting to see them be pretty direct, as soon as they see the opportunity to go forward and be positive they'll take it. But we can definitely counter that. We can take advantage of that as well.

"As long as we work hard I'm pretty sure we can cut through them and get a lot of chances."

Robinson was handed his Premier League debut at the beginning of October and has now racked up five top flight starts for his new club, including their only win of the campaign so far against West Bromwich Albion.
