Fulham Head Coach Scott Parker thinks momentum is still with Fulham after watching his side salvage a point on Thursday.

The Whites demonstrated their powers of recovery to come from behind three times at Luton Town, and Parker is keen to add to the four points picked up from our two matches already played in the festive period.

“I think the most important thing is we didn’t get beat at Luton,” he told FFCtv. “Coming out of a good result against Leeds where we won the game, it was important that we didn’t lose, especially that late on in the game when it felt like we might be on the end of a loss.

“This league throws up many surprises, and I often say it’s a long, drawn out season and along the way there are going to be some bumps, especially when you’re a Premier League relegated team coming into this division, compared to the established sides who have been around the Championship for some time.

“If we can go and get a couple of good results in the next few weeks then it puts us in a good place.”

Fulham can end the year on a high this Sunday when Stoke City visit Craven Cottage, but the Potters will be in good spirits after two stoppage time goals earned them a 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

“They had a big result on Boxing Day,” Parker said. “Some late goals for them to win the game, and they’re a very good side.

“They were a Premier League team only a few years ago, who still have Premier League football players in their team; [Ryan] Shawcross, Joe Allen, people like this.

“These are players who have been around the Premier League at top clubs. Like I said last time we played them, it’s going to be a tough game, and I suspect the weekend will be no different.”
