Fulham Coach Scott Parker insists his team will be unrelenting in their pursuit of Premier League points ahead of Sunday’s trip to Molineux.
Fulham’s return to the top flight has so far yielded three defeats, but our Head Coach is keeping his chin up.
“At times in the first three games there’s been elements of our performance that I’ve been extremely happy with where we’ve played very well,” he explained.
“I understand there are certain elements that we need to improve on, and the squad understand that as well. We all get that, but I don’t think it’s as drastic as everyone makes out. I need to stay rational, and the team does as well.
“We understand the challenges this year, but if we stick together like I know we will for sure, I’ll make sure we all stick together, and we keep working hard and keep improving as much as we can on a daily basis, I have no doubt we’ll be okay.
“I’m looking forward to the weekend. Again, it’s a big task ahead of us, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season, so are the team.
“This is a team in transition from being in the Championship nine weeks ago, to now coming into this league, and at times the players are adjusting to that. They’re having to learn very quick on the job what this league brings and the quality it brings.
“But I have a good group here that are willing to learn and work ever so hard on the training field to try and put things right.
“We understand that we need to get some points on the board, and we’re continuously working hard to try and improve things and to try and get better as a team.”
Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently enjoying their third consecutive top flight campaign, a side that Parker has enormous respect for.
“They’re a tough team, a very good team who have done extremely well since they’ve come up into the Premier League,” he said. “They’ve got a very good squad, the manager’s done a fantastic job there, so it’s going to be a tough ask for us.
“I think we all understand that, but what game this year is not going to be a tough challenge for us? Every week that’s going to be the case, but we’re looking forward to that challenge, albeit a tough one.”
