Fulham Head Coach Scott Parker was delighted with his side’s desire and passion during the West London derby.

An Aboubakar Kamara brace helped the Whites comeback to beat Queens Park Rangers 2-1 at Craven Cottage on Friday night.

“I thought we were really poor in the first 20 minutes,” said Parker.

“I don’t think our attitude was poor, it was just QPR started the game really well, they got the goal and momentum was with them.

“The longer the first half went on, I saw a committed team that was trying to get themselves back in the game, which was pleasing.

“The goal came, we hit the post, we changed things around at the half and from there, put in a performance that was worthy of the win.

“We had some very good chances after we scored the second to put the game to bed.

“My team showed a real desire and passion, which I constantly talk about. We have very good technical players, but you also need something extra, and that's a mentality and passion which we need to keep driving into this team.

“This is a team which needs momentum. They need to know what is expected, not just in this league but any league. If you want to be a good team that’s what you need."

Fulham’s Head Coach reserved special praise for the matchwinner, Kamara.

“I’m really pleased for him,” continued Parker.

“Abou’s not been a problem since I stepped into this role. There’s one thing you can guarantee with Abou is that when he steps onto that field, he’ll give you everything.

“We saw that tonight and he topped off his performance with two very good goals, two very good finishes.

“Maybe the perception on the outside is very different to the reality, and the reality is he’s a very respected member of this squad. He is a grafter and deserved his goals today.”
