Fulham manager Marco Silva is looking ahead to another tough opponent in West Brom when they visit Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

The Hatters have enjoyed a strong start to the season, with manager Valérien Ismaël having taken his side up to third in the Championship league table, with their latest victory coming in a 3-0 home win over Bristol City.

“It will be a tough game," started Silva. "They are definitely contenders for promotion, I have no doubts about that.

"Not just because of the way they started or because they have come down from the Premier League but the quality that they are showing from the first game and the results they are achieving shows they are contenders for promotion."

"They are a physical team and they challenge from every aspect of the game, including thrown-ins and corners. Their attackers are quick and they are strong. Their midfielders like to press and are stroing in their moments as well.

"It is up to us to put our game on the pitch as well, show our quality and match the challenge that they will provide."

Despite West Brom likely to pose a difficult challenge for the Whites, Silva is keen to maintain the high standards that have been set at the club on the pitch since joining the club.

"Me, my staff and my players, we discussed at the beginning of the season that the most important thing is the results but we also want to build and create our own ideas for Fulham Football Club and for me as a manager to build that idea and make sure that our fans enjoy the games.

"Football is a really fantastic sport and we all love it. If we can create a good feeling for our fans, the people that love the club, then we want to do that. Of course, results are important, but underneath that, we want a good performance so that they can come to matches, ready to support us and watch good football matches."
