Fulham coach Marco Silva reflected on what has been an exciting week at Fulham following on from his side's title win over Luton Town on Monday night.
“It’s been an amazing week for us. No doubts about it," started our Head Coach. "To celebrate twice at home, with our fans. The first one was fantastic; I think the second one was even better.
"It was an amazing feeling for all of us. I think the main thing for me is to see and enjoy with our players and celebrate with our fans.
"The main thing for me is to feel all the connections and feel the connection getting stronger.
"Of course, when you win football matches and win championships, it has to be that way, but I feel we are creating something important between all of us. Between the players and fans and all of the staff at this football club."
The three points taken from our 7-0 victory over the Hatters ensured that the Championship title was wrapped up in style and felt like a fairytale ending to what has been a fantastic season for Fulham.
"I think if some of us tried to write the story before the match, the best one would be that," said Marco. "It's difficult to think of something different.
"It was against a good side. In the first minutes of the match, it was the Championship, the competition, it was tough, they matched us and even if we tried to settle, they did well their job.
"The good goals we scored and the number of goals we scored as well. To repeat again a 7-0. A clean sheet is always important for us and finishing with that second goal from Mitrovic to give him that chance to break the record was fantastic.
"I feel like it was the best way to finish, to give us the title but to show again our philosophy.
"The most important thing for me was for that everyone who watched the game on TV or in the stadium, they saw Fulham Football Club and this is the main thing for me."
It has also been a different week for Marco's men, who have been given some time off to celebrate their victory with a paintballing session on Tuesday, before beginning their preparations for the final game of the season.
"We had a normal session this morning. As you know, we went paintballing with the players.
"It was something we planned with our guys and it was normal to do after the match because it was supposed to be a day off but we wanted to be together and did it.
"It was a good moment for us, we enjoyed it. Some enjoyed it more than the others, that is normal!
"Yesterday, we were off but today we prepared for the moment with a normal session before Sheffield."
When asked about who he thought was the best at paintballing, he replied: "I don’t know. I hid myself most of the time!"
Looking ahead to this weekend's game, Marco delivered some team news and an assessment of the Sheffield side he is due to face.
"Neco Williams has a small issue in his knee, nothing serious but he won’t be available for the next match. All the others are ok.
"[We are] playing against a very good side. We have to respect them. They are fighting for something very important and I’m 100% sure the atmosphere in that stadium will be fantastic."
