Fulham coach Marco Silva was delighted with his side's efforts in the West London derby, as Fulham ran out 2-0 winners over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

"We deserved the three points," Marco started. "No doubt about it.

"We knew before the match it would be a tough one, as always, against a good side. We knew as well, that we wanted to react after our last defeat.

"They want the same as us because they are under pressure to win a football match. They want to fight for a play-off position so of course they were under pressure to win like us.

"We had a plan and the players stuck with the plan from the first minute. They controlled all the match in a good way.

"We scored a fantastic goal, the first goal. The way we played it, to the moment Mitro finished it, that situation was fantastic for us.

"It is something that we worked on and we were able to do it. We had other moments as well from Bobby and Fabio that could have killed the game in that moment.

"We were the best team on the pitch. Winning here, the way we did, with a clean sheet is really important for us and we are ready to go again for the next one."

It was just another day at the office for Mitrovid, who scored twice in the derby, taking his total to 37 for the season! He is now just six goals away from breaking the division goalscoring record and Marco was asked whether he would be disappointed to not see his talisman achieve such a feat.

"I don’t look at this situation in this way. What will be a shame for us is if we don’t get our goal for the end of the season," he said. "That would be a shame.

"Individual things are not the main thing for us to be honest and Mitro knows from the first day that the goals he will score, breaking records or not, will be a consequence of our performance."

It has so far been a positive season for Fulham and Marco took the chance to reflect on his time with the Whites, ahead of an intense run-in of fixtures from now until our last game in May.

"It's been a pleasure to work for this football club and these players as well. I know the way they welcomed us and they know I came here to demand from them as well but they know that I like to work in a really good environment and all of us, we demand from ourselves and we have a clear goal from the first day and we know what we are fighting for.

"I’m really happy and proud as well to see the way our fans support us. I have to thank them. The way they celebrate with our players, I love it.

"From the first day I asked them one thing, we have to be all on the same page. Until now, we have all been on the same page, in the good and the bad moments as well. They are not always happy with our results but it’s good that throughout the main part of the season, they are.

"I’m really proud to see the connection between our players, all of us and our fans."
