Fulham boss Scott Parker says striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is 'okay' after testing positive for coronavirus which is poised to keep him out of tomorrow's trip to Burnley.

The 26-year-old Serbian international missed Sunday's 2-0 win for the Cottagers against Everton at Goodison Park after his diagnosis was confirmed by the London club around an hour before kick-off.

The striker has scored three goals in all competitions for the Craven Cottage outfit this season in 23 appearances.

His campaign has been disrupted due to injuries which has meant he has been in and out of the Fulham starting line-up.

Mitrovic is expected to be out of both the clash against Burnley at Turf Moor, as well as Saturday's game at Craven Cottage against fellow relegation battlers Sheffiield United.

Speaking ahead of the Burnley encounter, Fulham boss Parker confirmed Mitrovic feels 'okay' and has one symptom of the virus.

The Cottagers boss admitted it was disappointing to lose the striker due to coronavirus and is looking forward to his return to action.

Parker said: "Mitro is okay, he’s got one symptom of the virus. It’s disappointing for him as he was coming out the other side of a tough season.

"It’s a big time and we'll need him."

Main coronavirus symptoms include a new continuous cough, a high temperature and a loss or change to the sense of smell or taste.
