Fulham coach Marco Silva has signed a new contract with Fulham, extending his stay until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The 46-year-old head coach joined the club in July 2021 and has overseen two very successful seasons with the west London side, helping them win the Championship in 2021/22 before finishing 10th in the Premier League last season.
"I’m really pleased to sign a new contract as it was something we had been discussing for some time," Silva told the club's official website.
Silva's announcement to stay at Fulham is a major boost to the club, especially after Saudi Pro League sides Al-Ahli and Al Hilal were reportedly interesting in making him their new head coach this summer.
Silva, however, rejected the offers and declared that he wanted to stay in the Premier League.
Despite losing last season's top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic, Silva has helped Fulham enjoy a steady start to 2023/24. They sit 13th with 11 points from their first nine matches.
Silva will hope for a winning result to celebrate his new contract when his Fulham side take on Brighton & Hove Albion this Sunday.
