Fulham 5/4 favourites
last updated Thursday 07th December 2000, 11:39 AM
On Saturday the Mighty Whites are away to West Brom at the Hawthorns and therefore
face, in quick succession, another squad with a good home record like Sheffield
United and Preston.
Fulham are stronger in defence and attack and should win despite West Brom's good
recent form, they are now third in the division, and have lost only two games
at home this season.
More details
All the Bookies are agreed that Fulham are favourite to win the match with the
biggest price available being the 5/4 at Coral with all the other major Bookies
going 6/5.
If you want to have a single bet on Fulham there is only one way of getting around
the league rules and that is to use the Bookies system against them.
How to have a single bet.
The Baggies have won seven games out of eleven, drawing two and losing the other
two. Their strikers have scored eighteen goals in the eleven home matches culminating
in a hat-trick of 3-1 victories out of their last four matches. Fortunately West
Brom also have a leaky defence having let in eleven goals at home and only
managing three clean sheets.
Fulham as we know have not lost an away match in the league this season having
won five games and drawn four while achieving five clean sheets. The four draws
have come in the five most recent results starting with the now infamous match
at Wolves which brought our record winning run to a shuddering halt. Fulham
have conceded six goals in our away campaign with five of them coming in the four
drawn matches. This seems to indicate that the squad is still not firing on all
cylinders away from home but the 3-0 victory at Wimbledon and the dominance enjoyed
at Preston after Sean Davis' rocket shows that the squad is starting to regain
it's early season confidence.
Therefore despite West Brom's recent improvement in form they are unlikely to
be strong enough to achieve a victory against Fulham. So although the result could
be a draw the result should be a win for Fulham perhaps 2 or 3-1

Our Bookie friends also believe that Fulham will send the Baggies packing quoting
Fulham as low as a 6/5 favourite against 9/5 for West Brom. The best price on
offer for Fulham is 5/4 from Coral.
If you are as convinced as the Bookies are that a Fulham win is favourite and
that taking money from the Bookies is a duty then the only thing to do is to
have a single on The Mighty Whites to win.
As you may well know Football League rules and sometimes Bookie fears conspire
against us poor betting folk getting a single on the match of our choice. However
it is possible to get round the restriction by using the Bookies own set up.
We can use the first-half second-half bet in such a way as to get a single on
the outcome we want to bet on.
To back Fulham to win just bet proportionately on the three first/second-half
outcomes that end up with Fulham being the winner at the end of the match (Fulham/Fulham,
Draw/Fulham and West Brom/Fulham). Of course if you want to back the Draw or
a West Brom win you take the particular three options that end with your choice
being the winner.
To make it easy I have drawn up a table, that shows you the options to back,
displayed below, using the best coupon prices available with a link to the internet
site of the appropriate Bookie. The relationship between the stakes is important
so if you want to bet with a larger or smaller sum divide or multiply the suggested
stakes below by the same preferred number

Stake levels can be increased
or reduced as long as you keep the same proportions. So multiply or divide
each stake by the same number.
If you feel confident you can always leave one of the three elements, of
what ever outcome you are betting on, out to increase your rate of return
but remember that that also increases your risk of losing |
